Claude app and Marrow
Cloud MCP
Ask Claude about your meals, workouts, sleep and every Apple Health metric, on the web, the desktop app or your phone. Marrow is in Claude's connector directory, so there is nothing to paste but your own link.
Open in Marrow works on an iPhone with Marrow 1.6 or later.
Once it is added on claude.ai, the connector is there in the Claude apps on the same account.
Cloud MCP (Connector) Pro
A private copy of your data on Marrow's server. Your AI reads it any time, phone asleep, and every sign-in is approved on your phone. You need: Any Claude plan, Free included.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then AI, and tap Claude app. Pick Cloud MCP.
- Turn Cloud MCP on (Marrow Pro) and add Claude app to Your AIs. Marrow shows your link.
- On claude.ai, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Tap + Add. Pick Marrow Health from the directory, or Add custom connector and paste your link.

- Type the code the page shows into Marrow and approve.
- Ask: How am I doing today?

What it can do
- Read. A daily brief scored against your own normal, your baselines, what changed this week, any metric day by day, workouts, lifts set by set, sleep stages and your food diary.
- Log. Your AI logs meals, water, weight, workouts, sleep, symptoms and mood when you ask, after you turn on Allow AI write for that way in Marrow. Every entry can be undone.

- What changed in my sleep this week compared with my normal?
- Which of my lifts went up this month?
- Log a turkey sandwich and an apple for lunch.
If it does not work
In Claude app
- Claude says Couldn't reach the MCP server. Claude connects from Anthropic's servers, not from your computer, so it takes the Cloud MCP link only. A Local MCP or Server MCP address on your network never works here. Check that Cloud MCP is on in Marrow and paste the whole link.
- No Connectors under Settings. Newer versions of Claude moved it to Customize, Connectors, then + Add and Add custom connector.
- Authorization with the MCP server failed. The sign-in did not finish. Click Connect again and approve the new code in Marrow within ten minutes. A connector's sign-in settings cannot be changed after it is added, so remove it and add it again if you picked the wrong ones.
- Claude answers without your data. Click + in the chat, choose Connectors and turn Marrow Health on for that conversation.
- Team or Enterprise, and no way to add it. An Owner adds custom connectors for the organization in Organization settings, Connectors. Each member then connects to it.
- Free plan, and the custom connector button is gone. Free accounts can add one custom connector. Remove the other one first.
Cloud MCP checks
- The sign-in waits in Marrow. The sign-in page shows a 6-character code. Open Marrow, go to Export, type the code and tap Approve. A request expires after ten minutes and three wrong codes deny it. If that happens, start again from your AI.
- The page says the link did not match a Marrow. In Marrow, open your AI under Connections, tap Copy your link and paste the whole link.
- It worked, then stopped. When Cloud MCP is off, or Marrow Pro has ended, the copy is paused. Switching Cloud MCP off also signs every AI out. Turn it back on, switch this connection on in Your AIs and sign in again from your AI.
- Approve stops at the limit. Each AI is one connection. Free keeps 3 connections on at a time. Marrow Pro keeps up to 20: AIs, servers and automations together. Sources never count. Turn one off in Your AIs or Your Exports, then approve again.
- It reads but cannot log. Turn on Allow AI write for Cloud MCP in Marrow. An entry reaches the phone within seconds when notifications are allowed for Marrow, or the next time you open the app.
