Dexcom and Marrow
Apple HealthDirect soon
Everything Dexcom writes to Apple Health shows up in Marrow with no extra setup, next to your meals and workouts, and goes on to your AI and your exports. Dexcom's own scores never reach Apple Health: those come with the direct connection, which you can join the waitlist for in the app.
Open in Marrow works on an iPhone with Marrow 1.6 or later.
Through Apple Health Free
Dexcom writes to Apple Health, and Marrow reads it there. It writes: blood glucose, three hours behind.
- In Dexcom G7, open Connections > Apple Health.
- Activate to share, then turn on Blood Glucose and Allow.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then Sources. Dexcom shows a check once its data is coming in.
Direct connection Coming
Dexcom's own service, beyond what reaches Apple Health. It adds: Live glucose, every five minutes.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then Sources, and tap Dexcom.
- Tap Join the waitlist. Marrow sends the name of the source, nothing else, and tells you when it is ready.
Direct connections need Dexcom's approval of Marrow first. Sources never count toward the connect limit.
If it does not work
- Readings are hours behind. Dexcom writes glucose to Apple Health three hours late, by design. The direct connection, once it ships, is live.
- Nothing in the last 30 days. Marrow counts a source as coming in once its app has written something to Apple Health in the last 30 days. Record a workout or a night's sleep, let the app sync, then open Sources again.
- The app has the switch on, but Apple Health has no data from it. In the Health app, open your picture, then Apps, pick the app and check that its write switches are on. An app can be connected and still allowed to write nothing.
