Suunto and Marrow
Apple HealthDirect soon
Everything Suunto writes to Apple Health shows up in Marrow with no extra setup, next to your meals and workouts, and goes on to your AI and your exports. Suunto's own scores never reach Apple Health: those come with the direct connection, which you can join the waitlist for in the app.
Open in Marrow works on an iPhone with Marrow 1.6 or later.
Through Apple Health Free
Suunto writes to Apple Health, and Marrow reads it there. It writes: workouts, heart rate during them, steps and calories.
- In Suunto, open your profile, then Settings.
- Turn on Save to Apple Health.
- In the Health app, allow it under Sharing > Apps.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then Sources. Suunto shows a check once its data is coming in.
Direct connection Coming
Suunto's own service, beyond what reaches Apple Health. It adds: Training load, recovery and resources.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then Sources, and tap Suunto.
- Tap Join the waitlist. Marrow sends the name of the source, nothing else, and tells you when it is ready.
Direct connections need Suunto's approval of Marrow first. Sources never count toward the connect limit.
If it does not work
- Nothing in the last 30 days. Marrow counts a source as coming in once its app has written something to Apple Health in the last 30 days. Record a workout or a night's sleep, let the app sync, then open Sources again.
- The app has the switch on, but Apple Health has no data from it. In the Health app, open your picture, then Apps, pick the app and check that its write switches are on. An app can be connected and still allowed to write nothing.
- It came in once and stopped. Most apps only push to Apple Health while open. Open the app, let it sync, and check Sources again.
