Hevy and Marrow
Apple HealthDirect
Everything Hevy writes to Apple Health shows up in Marrow with no extra setup. For the rest, paste a key from Hevy and Marrow pulls it directly, with every refresh.
Open in Marrow works on an iPhone with Marrow 1.6 or later.
Through Apple Health Free
Hevy writes to Apple Health, and Marrow reads it there. It writes: strength workouts with duration and calories.
- In Hevy, open Profile, then the gear, then Apple Health > Manage.
- Turn on the sync.
- In the Health app, allow it under Sharing > Apps.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then Sources. Hevy shows a check once its data is coming in.
Direct connection Free
Hevy's own service, with a key you paste. It adds: Every set, rep and weight, into Lifts.
- On hevy.com/settings, open Developer (Hevy Pro) and generate an API key.
- In Marrow, open Connects, then Sources, then Hevy. Paste the key and tap Connect.
- Marrow pulls your workouts, a year back the first time, then with every refresh. Each lands in Lifts with every set.
The key stays in your phone's keychain. Sources never count toward the connect limit.
If it does not work
- Nothing in the last 30 days. Marrow counts a source as coming in once its app has written something to Apple Health in the last 30 days. Record a workout or a night's sleep, let the app sync, then open Sources again.
- The app has the switch on, but Apple Health has no data from it. In the Health app, open your picture, then Apps, pick the app and check that its write switches are on. An app can be connected and still allowed to write nothing.
- It came in once and stopped. Most apps only push to Apple Health while open. Open the app, let it sync, and check Sources again.
- Connect says Hevy did not accept the key. The API key is a Hevy Pro feature. Make a new one at hevy.com/settings and paste the whole key.
